Recite Online Urdu Translation Recite Sura

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى 1 . By the night enshrouding

وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّى 2 . And the day resplendent

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَى 3 . And Him Who hath created male and female ,

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّى 4 . Lo! your effort is dispersed ( toward divers ends ) .

فَأَمَّا مَن أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى 5 . As for him who giveth and is dutiful ( toward Allah )

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى 6 . And believeth in goodness ;

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى 7 . Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease .

وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى 8 . But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent ,

وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى 9 . And disbelieveth in goodness ;

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى 10 . Surely We will ease his way unto adversity .

وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّى 11 . His riches will not save him when he perisheth .

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَى 12 . Lo! Ours it is ( to give ) the guidance

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَى 13 . And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former .

فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَاراً تَلَظَّى 14 . Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire

لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى 15 . Which only the most wretched must endure ,

الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى 16 . He who denieth and turneth away .

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى 17 . Far removed from it will be the righteous

الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّى 18 . Who giveth his wealth that he may grow ( in goodness ) ,

وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَى 19 . And none hath with him any favor for reward ,

إِلَّا ابْتِغَاء وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَى 20 . Except as seeking ( to fulfil ) the purpose of his Lord Most High .

وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَى 21 . He verily will be content .
